Dr. Quitangon is a board-certified psychiatrist, author, and physician leader. She is Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and an elected fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. She has expertise in treating patients across the lifespan, drawn from extensive training and experience in Adult Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Public Psychiatry in a variety of settings. Dr. Quitangon has held leadership positions in non-profit organizations and medical centers serving homeless and marginalized populations. She advocates for the mental health and well-being of healthcare workers, and her passion project focuses on the nuances of work-impact concepts such as vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue and burnout in the context of disaster mental health. She writes and presents her work in local, national and international conferences. |
